Who we are
Sparse Energy Grid, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is responsible for sparse.energy and the inquiry emails we receive. Contact us at sodoo@sparse.energy.
This policy covers the public website and initial inquiries. Metering services and customer projects have separate data-handling arrangements.
What we collect and why
- Website visits: GitLab Pages hosts this website. It records your IP address, access time, and pages visited to operate and protect the service. GitLab states that these access logs are deleted after seven days. GitLab privacy statement
- Website analytics: We use Umami, hosted at umami.kalvin.watch, to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use our pages. We use this information to improve the website.
- Email inquiries: When you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any name, contact details, or attachments you include. We use these to answer your inquiry and handle agreed follow-up through Google Workspace (Gmail).
Our contact links open your email application with Sodoo’s address filled in. Nothing is sent until you send the email. This website has no contact form, customer accounts, or advertising.
Who handles the information
Sparse team members and our website analytics system, hosting and email providers process the information described above. Data may be processed outside Mongolia. Google explains its processing and safeguards in its data-processing terms.
How long we keep emails
We keep inquiry emails while handling your request and for five years after the inquiry and agreed follow-up end, to maintain a record of our correspondence. We then delete the personal information, unless applicable law requires earlier deletion or a longer retention period.
Questions about your information
Please contact sodoo@sparse.energy for more details about the personal information we hold and how we use it. You can also request a copy, correction, or deletion, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We handle requests under applicable Mongolian law.

We update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. External websites linked from this site have their own privacy policies.
